Pine Barrens Post
Pairing time-tested techniques with modern efficiencies, Pine Barrens Post, located in Sweetwater, New Jersey, is a homestead and apiary offering seasonal, nature-inspired products such as specialty honey and beeswax items. Launched in 2018 by Lauren and Rob as a land-sharing effort to make the extensive Atlantic coastal New Jersey Pine Barrens more accessible, Pine Barrens Post has expanded into beekeeping, gardening, food preservation, foraging, herbalism and maple syrup production.
Pine Barrens Post, which focuses on sustainability and quality, creates a wide range of natural products, with many items featuring ingredients native to the Pine Barren area and growing on the company’s property. The company features a variety of candles made from beeswax, a natural and sustainable wax made by honeybees. Beeswax has a high melting point, burning longer and cleaner than other candle waxes and giving off a warm glow.
In order to prevent waste, the company encourages people to return the tins, jars and bottles the products come in when they are finished using them. They even want customers to send them any leftover beeswax from burning their candles.
